Ferdy the Ant (ger. Ferdy, die Ameise) is a 1984 German animated series, based on the Ferda Mravenec book series by Czech(oslovak) author Ondřej Sekora. It is about the titular ant, Ferdy, who goes through adventures with his friends in the land of Insectland (as named in one of the English dubs).
By 2000, the show was distributed by Entertaining Cartoon Production & Licencing AG in Germany, which, around 2011, decided to create a website for distribution of the show. This is how Ferdy.tv came to be.
The site, among links to contact ECPL for distribution, also contained a short synopsis of the series, a character list, an episode list, as well as a sample episode available in four languages - Arabic, English, Spanish and French. All of this was also available for ECPL's other show, Under Neptune's Flag.
In 2024, the website suddently went offline - making its content unavailable. The main site was saved on the Wayback Machine, however none of the episodes were, nor the Under Neptune's Flag section.
This is where I step in.
This is meant to be a complete reconstruction of how the Ferdy.tv website was, including both the main and episode sites, the episodes themselves, and Under Neptune's Flag.
Currently, most of the site works, although I am still seeking original files for the episodes.
