First released on VHS and Betamax in the United States in 1985, distributed by Sony. To date, these are the only known releases of the TV show in the US.
First aired on BBC1 on October 29, 1987. Dubs based on English, however, were known to air before this date, such as the first Polish dub.
Its working title was The Adventures of Willy Fog. This title was seen on Sony flyers from 1985, and still persists in the episode preview for ep. 21 (all other previews have the regular Around the World title).
A cast list for this dub was never released. Thus, voice actors for select characters are currently not known.
Tico's nationality was changed for the dub - in the original Spanish version, he's Spanish, specifically from the Andalusia region, while in the English dub he was changed to be Italian, in a possible reference to the show's composers, Guido and Maurizio de Angelis.
Episodes 10, 14, 17, 21 and 23 do not have known English titles. For newer re-releases of the dub, the episodes are given names, created by directly translating the original Spanish titles. More on that here.
